Bereavement Notice Stephen Kirkcaldie

It is with great sadness we inform members that last Thursday evening 30th March, Union Waihi Club Instructor, Stephen Kirkcaldie died in a traffic accident while cycling home after work. Stephen was heading home to Temuka after finishing work for the day at his job at Fonterra in Timaru. Stephen, aged 55, taught Taekwondo at the Waihi Preparatory Boys School and was very passionate about Taekwondo as well as being a keen hunter. He is survived by his wife Carmela and their three children.

TNZ Kyorugi Referee & Poomsae Judge Certification Seminars

Skilled refereeing and judging is a fundamental requirement for strong domestic competition which TNZ sees as a foundation element needed for international competitiveness. TNZ is pleased to announce the following Kyorugi Referee & Poomsae Judge Certification Seminars for  2013. Please note that this year all existing TNZ Kyorugi Referee certificates will expire. Current TNZ Kyorugi Referees will need to sit the refresher portion of the seminar in order to continue officiating.

TNZ Team to the Oceania Championships 2012

 

Taekwondo New Zealand is very pleased to announce the New Zealand National Representative Team to compete at the 2012 WTF Oceania Taekwondo Championships, which are being held on the 1st & 2ndDecember, Gold Coast Australia. This is our largest squad to travel off-shore with a mixture of new talent and experience. TNZ will also be sending a strong support crew to coach and manage the team.
