    Below you will find the appropriate forms for applying for a Management position with an upcoming Taekwondo New Zealand team.

  • Kyorugi and Poomsae World Championships 2015

    Applications for TNZ National Representative Team Officials – 2015 World Kyorugi & Poomsae Championships

    TNZ is calling for interested applicants for the following positions:

    1) Team Trainer for the Kyorugi World Championships 2015; May - Russia (Click here for position description)
    2) Male Coach for the Kyorugi World Championships 2015; May - Russia (Click here for position description)
    3) Team Manager for the Poomsae World Championships 2015; July – Vietnam (Click here for position description)

    For the positions of Team Coach and Trainer, the successful applicant will ideally be a New Zealand based minimum 2nd Dan Black Belt holder and a current financial member of a TNZ member organisation who has an international and national record in either competing, coaching or training. The applicant will be able to demonstrate that he/she has recently coached or trained TNZ New Zealand based member athletes either nationally or internationally and has attended TNZ events and/or seminars. The applicant will also provide TNZ a breakdown and copies of any relevant educational, instructional or coaching qualifications to support his/her application and undergo a Police check. In particular with the role of Coach, the applicant is encouraged to provide an outline plan of what he/she intends to contribute to the sport here in New Zealand on a long-term basis. This should include any practical recommendations and ideas on ways of further enhancing our long-term athletes prospects for the best possible results.

    For the position of Team Manager, the successful applicant will ideally be a New Zealand based minimum 1st Dan Black Belt holder and a current financial member of a TNZ member organisation who preferably has an international and national record in effectively managing sports teams, ideally Taekwondo related. The applicant will be able to demonstrate that he/she has recently had experience in organising international team travel and accommodation and has attended TNZ events and/or seminars. The applicant will also provide TNZ a breakdown and copies of any relevant qualifications to support his/her application and undergo a Police check.

    Needless to say, applicants for these roles will also need to have the free time and volunteer resource necessary to effectively operate in these positions and be able to work well alongside existing officials in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the ongoing development of the sport.

    Applications for TNZ National Kyorugi Administrator & TNZ National Poomsae Administrator

    TNZ is calling for interested applicants for the following positions:

    In late 2012, the TNZ Board approved the creation and appointment of High Performance Directors for Kyorugi & Poomsae. These positions were 2 year appointments, which effectively come to an end on the 30th of September, 2014. They were created to decrease the administrative workload on TNZ’s key volunteer people-resources while improving the direction/management of our national teams. TNZ now plans to take these roles to the next level by re-defining them to ensure we continue to improve services for our athletes.

    The successful applicant for either role will be a minimum 1st Dan Black Belt and a current financial member of a TNZ member organisation who preferably has an international and national record in effectively administering sport, ideally Taekwondo related. The applicant would also need to demonstrate that he/she has recently had experience in organising, planning and administering TNZ events and/or seminars. The applicant will also provide TNZ a breakdown and copies of any relevant qualifications to support his/her application and undergo a Police check if required. Needless to say, the applicant will also need to have the free time and volunteer resource necessary to effectively operate in this role and be able to work well alongside existing officials in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the ongoing development of the sport.
