Applications for TNZ National Team Officials – 2016 Junior World Championships

TNZ is calling for interested applicants for following positions for the TNZ Junior National Representative Team to compete at the 2016 WTF Junior World Championships to be held in Mexico next May.

1)     Team Trainer

2)     Team Coach

3)     Team Manager

Please refer to the attached position description for each role.

For the positions of Team Coach and Trainer, the successful applicant will ideally be a New Zealand based minimum 3rd Dan Black Belt, holder of an OTU Coaching Accreditation and a current financial member of a TNZ member organisation who has an international and national record in either competing, coaching or training. The applicant will be able to demonstrate that he/she has recently coached or trained TNZ New Zealand based member athletes either nationally or internationally and has recently attended TNZ events and/or seminars. The applicant will also provide TNZ a breakdown and copies of any relevant educational, instructional or coaching qualifications to support his/her application and be willing to undergo a Police check if required. 

For the position of Team Manager, the successful applicant will ideally be a New Zealand based minimum 1st Dan Black Belt holder and a current financial member of a TNZ member organisation who preferably has an international and national record in effectively managing sports teams, ideally Taekwondo related. The applicant will be able to demonstrate that he/she has recently had experience in organising international team travel and accommodation and has attended TNZ events and/or seminars. The applicant will also provide TNZ a breakdown and copies of any relevant qualifications to support his/her application and be willing to undergo a Police check if required.

Needless to say, applicants for these roles will also need to have the free time and volunteer resource necessary to effectively operate in these positions and be able to work well alongside existing officials in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for our Junior Athletes.
